Today, Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) endorsed his longtime friend and colleague, Congressman Tom Malinowski, in his campaign to succeed Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District.

In a video announcing the endorsement, Senator Kim said, “Tom is someone that I can trust, someone who I know has a heart of service, and someone who I know can step up in this incredibly dangerous and tumultuous time in America.” He continued, “Tom Malinowski knows the House of Representatives. He knows Congress. He knows New Jersey. He knows how to be able to stand up to Donald Trump, and that’s what I need right now, is someone there as a partner with me in the Capitol.”

Congressman Malinowski thanked Senator Kim for his support, adding “From the day he entered Congress, Andy Kim has led with integrity and courage in defending America’s democratic ideals. We share a commitment to fierce independence where we only answer to the voters we serve. I’m honored to have his trust, and am ready to fight with him again to protect our state and country from Trump’s corruption and abuse of power.”
