Source: An LD15 Balancing Act

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a source seethed at the aggressiveness of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters as Mercer prepares to replace Assemblywoman Liz Muoio (D-15). She is likely headed to the Murphy Administration to serve as treasurer.

“Man, these carpenters are trying to snatch up every damn thing,” the source said.

Having said that, the source conceded Freeholder Anthony Verrelli’s strong position in the 15th.

Verrelli’s from Hopewell.

“I don’t see how Lawrence gets it,” the source said. “They have Paula Sollami-Covello in the clerk’s office and [Senator] Shirley Turner in the senate already.”

A second source said Assemblyman Reed Gusciora’s (D-15) residency in New Jersey’s capital city makes it unlikely too that Trenton will snag the seat.

That would rule out Freeholder Sam Frisby, son of Jeannine Larue.

Ewing – long represented in the Assembly by Bonnie Watson-Coleman (pictured) before she went to Congress in 2014 – also has a strong case to make for the seat.
