Sweeney V. Stender. When it Comes to Ads, it’s Deja vu All Over Again in LD3
A Garden State Forward ad targeting Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) in the 3rd District sounds a lot like another ad of relatively recent vintage.
Here’s the ad against Sweeney.
In terms of content and message, the Garden State Forward ad resembles the GOP’s “Stender is a spender” ad, a variation of which first ran in 2006, later revived for U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance’s (R-7) successful beat-down of Assemblywoman Linda Stender (D-22) two years later.

Childish add that shows how desperate the NJEA has become.
Their multi million campaign is failing and now it has come down to embarrassing recycled adds.
The real disgrace is that the NJEA leadership stole all that money from their members for this personal vendetta.
