NJEDA Task Force Report Presents Email as Possible Evidence of False Application

The Freeholder fight unites more than it delights.

The release this evening of a report issued by the Governor’s Task Force examining the use of NJEDA tax incentives in Camden contains an exhibit of particular interest to the larger scope of the case.

It is a 2014 email communication between a representative from Cooper Hospital and a real estate rep., presented by the task force as evidence of a misleading or false EDA application process undertaken to prove – even without the probability of it happening – relocation out of state to land a reward from the state of New Jersey.

There may be more here than meets the eye, but undoubtedly the exchange will spark inquiry in the days to come.
