Cringey and arrogant — or maybe just clueless.

That's the portrait of Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell that emerged from a long-awaited 61-page report into troubling allegations about his conduct that Gov. Mikie Sherrill released Thursday evening.

The Sept. 25 report, compiled by Chris Porrino, a former state attorney general under Chris Christie, was commissioned in May and triggered by an anonymous letter from a “Concerned NJ resident.” The writer accused the 66-year-old Caldwell of improperly taking uninvited guests to public functions and “hitting on women” while there. 

In the InsiderNJ Podcast, he elaborates and addresses, too, the statewide political fallout for the Governor.
