USWU Endorses Mikie Sherrill for Governor

The United Service Workers Union (USWU) and its 10,000 members in New Jersey proudly endorse Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill for Governor.
Throughout her time in Congress, Sherrill has consistently demonstrated her commitment to labor through both her actions and votes. She has stood up against those who seek to undermine the working class in New Jersey.
In a statement, USWU Political Director Connor Shaw said, “The USWU is proud to endorse Mikie Sherrill for Governor. Throughout her career, from military service to her work in Congress, Sherrill has embraced public service. Her campaign for Governor centers on making New Jersey more affordable for the middle class and supporting working people. She understands that a strong middle class cannot exist without a robust labor movement, which is why we will fight to make Sherrill our next Governor.”
New Jersey’s labor workforce faces significant challenges in the coming months as elected officials in Washington work to erode worker rights and undermine organized labor. Sherrill is the type of leader we need to oppose those who aim to weaken our progress.
“I am honored to have the support of the USWU as we strive to build a more affordable New Jersey,” says Mikie Sherrill, candidate for Governor. “As Governor, I will never hesitate to advocate for our workers. That’s why more than 30 labor unions have endorsed me throughout this race. They know — as we all can see — that Jack Ciattarelli will align himself with Donald Trump over the hardworking families of New Jersey whenever he has the chance. While Jack and Trump increase costs for families, I will fight to raise wages, protect collective bargaining rights, and create a more affordable Garden State.”
Election Day is November 4th, and early voting begins in New Jersey on October 25th. The USWU urges New Jerseyans to cast their ballots for Sherrill, a true friend of labor and the middle class
