Slapped at earlier today, Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker (D-16) shot back at Somerset County GOP Chairman Al Gaburo as he seeks reelection in the competitive 16th District.
“If, by ‘strategic’ voting record, Chairman Gaburo means working to create good jobs in the innovation economy while keeping taxes low and making higher education more affordable, I believe that is the voting record the residents of the district want and deserve,” Zwicker said in a statement.
“Maybe if he joined me walking door to door, as I have done since first elected, he would realize that the people of LD16 want evidence-based representatives that can get things done, not partisan career politicians,” added the assemblyman, a physicist by trade.
Zwicker yesterday gave the thumbs up to the speaker candidacy of Assemblyman Craig Coughlin (D-19), who wants to dethrone Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-32). He is one of four battleground Democrats picking Coughlin over the incumbent caucus leader.
