Christie on Comey Memo: ‘Obstruction of Justice Very Difficult to Prove’

Opining on the memo by former FBI Director James Comey following his February 14 meeting with Donald Trump in which he says the President told him “I hope you can let this go” , Governor Chris Christie today said “Obstruction of justice is difficult to prove.”

Christie supplied his point of view as a former U.S. Attorney and said that in his experience, investigators have to have very significant evidence to close a case based on allegations of this kind.

The embattled governor’s name surfaced following President Donald J. Trump’s firing, and his lieutenant governor, Republican Gubernatorial candidate Kim Guadagno, said Christie would be a good FBI director.
