InsiderNJ first reported here that Calabrese scion Clinton Calabrese of Cliffside Park would be the favorite for the LD36 Assembly seat left behind by Department of Insurance and Banking Commissioner Marlene Caride, and now Calabrese is avidly making the rounds in an attempt to win over the Bergen County Democratic Committee.

The mail duplicated above hit district boxes this week.

Asked if anyone else is making a move to challenge Calabrese, a Bergen source said, “not sure.”

There was Mayor Gerald Calabrese, Sr.

Then then there was junior, and his brother Mayor Tom Calabrese.

And now the late Mayor’s grandson, Clinton, is poised to replace Caride as the new lower house legislator in the 36th District.

He’s only 31.
