Maggee Miggins Elected Millburn Mayor

Committeewoman Maggee Miggins was elected Mayor of Millburn at a re-organization meeting of the Township Committee on Tuesday evening, January 4, 2022 at 7 pm in Town Hall. The annual meeting was held both in person and remotely by Zoom.

Committeewoman Dianne Thall-Eglow was voted Deputy Mayor and former Mayor and Committeewoman Tara Prupis was sworn in to a second 3-year term.

Miggins, now in her second year on the 5-member Township Committee, is a founding member of the United Way Short Hills Chapter of Women in Leadership and the Cultural Engagement Diversity and Arts Committee in Millburn.

She also serves on the Millburn Township Memorial Day Parade Committee and served as President of the Millburn Township Beautification League.

As a member of the New Jersey Realtor’s Legislative Committee, Mayor Miggins has liaison experience with county and state legislative and administration officials.  She is a member of the Essex County Democratic Committee.

“Like many men and women today, I feel a stepped up sense of urgency for community service. I have a deep and abiding affection for our town. Millburn is a wonderful place to live, to work and to raise a family, “ Miggins said.

“There are challenges to be met, issues to be addressed and proactive solutions needed for both present and future problems,” she added, saying “I am confident that as Mayor I can make a meaningful contribution to our Township.”

“I am grateful for the support of friends and neighbors and for the confidence of my colleagues on the Township Committee,” Miggins said.

Mayor Miggins is a sought after speaker in the Real Estate Industry. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

  1. A message was posted by a millburn resident in Happy Millburn group about Millburn cop leaving a gun unattended by his car. Pictures were posted. This is totally unacceptable behavior by a professional!! Town is full of kids and crazy people are no less with robberies and bad buys walking around!!! I hope this issue is addressed and the cop is held responsible for his unprofessional behavior.
