The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) today announced that Andrew Musick has joined the organization’s government affairs team.

As Vice President of Government Affairs, Mr. Musick will be responsible for managing legislative and regulatory issues that impact the multifamily apartment industry in New Jersey.

Regarding the hire, NJAA’s Executive Director David Brogan said, “Andrew is a great addition to our growing NJAA team. He brings nearly a decade of government affairs and political action committee (PAC) experience to our organization and will play an integral role in representing the multifamily industry in New Jersey.”

Musick joins NJAA from the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) where he served as Vice President.

Regarding his new role, he commented, “I am excited for the opportunity to work at NJAA. The NJAA has grown in both stature and influence over the past five years and I believe that my skillset and background will enhance NJAA’s government affairs efforts.”

NJAA’s advocacy efforts gained national recognition this June when the National Apartment Association (NAA) awarded the organization the Excel Award for Government Affairs. Chosen among approximately 160 NAA affiliates nationally, NJAA was recognized for the Association’s ability to grow their PAC and the design and written content of their PAC brochure. This was the second time in three years the NAA recognized NJAA for its government affairs initiatives. Andrew Musick will continue to advance these efforts, among others, in his new role.

Musick earned a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Monmouth University, and currently lives in Mercer County.
