Congressman Kim Announces Red Tape Cut, Bureaucracy Navigated For New Jersey Residents in First Year

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) announced that his office has successfully assisted Burlington and Ocean County residents with more than 1,500 issues with federal agencies such as Medicare, Social Security or the Department of Veterans Affairs.

“Some of my proudest moments of the last year don’t have anything to do with legislation passed in Washington, but the people our office has been able to help back home in New Jersey,” said Congressman Kim. “Whether it’s helping seniors access their Medicare benefits or veterans get their lost medals, our casework staff work tirelessly for our communities. This is a priority of mine; it’s why unlike most offices, we have more people in New Jersey than in Washington, because making an impact in the lives of our neighbors is the most important thing.”

Congressman Kim’s office can help residents of Burlington and Ocean Counties who have issues with federal agencies by helping them navigate bureaucratic red tape and advocating on their behalf. Residents can fill out a form online, or call or visit the Congressman’s offices in Willingboro or Toms River to get help.

Once a resident fills out the necessary privacy release forms, Congressman Kim’s staff will engage with the necessary officials, work with the agency in question and attempt to resolve issues to a satisfactory conclusion.

Over the coming months, Congressman Kim will be sharing stories of residents helped by his office and announcing mobile casework office hours where constituents can speak with staff about issues they’re facing with federal agencies.
