Parsippany, NJ – Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce, a life-long supporter of job creation and rebuilding New Jersey’s infrastructure, was endorsed today by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker, Local 102, in Parsippany.

“We have always supported BettyLou DeCroce, and we always will. She is a hardworking, dedicated legislator and we stand by her re-election again this year,” said IBEW 102 Business Manager Patrick R. Delle Cava.

The members of IBEW Local 102 have served the communities of New Jersey and Pennsylvania for 119 years. The union represents over 3,000 qualified electricians and has partnered with over 250 licensed electrical contractors

“I am honored to have the continued support of the working men and women at the IBEW Local 102 and their endorsement of my re-election to another term in the General Assembly. They have my back in this election because they know I have the backs of everyone working in New Jersey when it comes to opposing job-killing state policies and making certain working people in New Jersey have the ability to find the type of employment through which they can raise and support their families,” said Assemblywoman DeCroce.

The Assemblywoman, who is a Realtor and a small business owner, has a vast array of government experience, having served as the N.J. Department of Community Affairs Deputy Commissioner from 2010 to 2012, when she was elected to the Assembly. She also served on the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Adjustment from 2000 to 2010; as the North Jersey Health Insurance Fund Commissioner from 1999 to 2010 and on the Morris County Joint Insurance Fund from 1999 to 2010, where she served as chair from 2008 to 2010.

BettyLou DeCroce also served as Township of Roxbury Municipal Clerk from 1988 to 2010, Deputy Manager in Roxbury from 1991 to 2002 and on the township Planning Board from 1984 to 1987. Her service included working with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, Administration, from 1984 to 86 and on the  Township of Mine Hill Council from 1981 to 1983.

Now serving as the Assistant Republican Leader this legislative session, the Assemblywoman serves on several committees, including the Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee; the Science, Innovation and Technology Committee; the Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee; the Joint Committee on the Public Schools, the New Jersey Legislative Select Oversight Committee and the Intergovernmental Relations Commission.
