Jersey City, NJ - Jersey City mayoral candidate James Solomon’s campaign manager Stuart Thomas, issued the following statement tonight following the mayoral debate:

“There was only one mayor on the debate stage tonight, and that was James Solomon.

James spoke clearly about his vision for a more affordable Jersey City, with housing that residents can actually afford with rents under $1,000, capped rent increases, stabilized property taxes, rooting out waste and corruption and creating 1,000 additional youth summer jobs. That’s the change Jersey City is looking for.

At the same time, all we heard from Jim McGreevey was more of the same. The fact is that Jim McGreevey is in the pocket of some of Trump and the MAGA movement's biggest donors, and once again, he failed to condemn Trump in any way. It’s shocking but not unexpected from a candidate who has left a trail of corruption at every stop in his career.

James is the only candidate with the vision and experience to deliver an affordable Jersey City where everyone can thrive.”
