Maras For Woodbridge – “Law Scoffers Have No Place On A Dais Or In Education!”

PRESS RELEASE

Maras For Woodbridge: “Law Scoffers Have No Place On A Dais Or In Education!”

Multiple protestors disrupted a rally at Frank G. Pelzman Memorial Park on October 19 to show opposition to the event, organized by Tony Gallo for Middlesex County Sheriff. Maras, a bystander at the rally, was proud to witness the protestors use their Constitutional right to assemble, but remains deeply concerned over the conduct of one man he personally encountered, a teacher in the Perth Amboy school system. The teacher’s demeanor and rhetoric was most unbecoming for a member of an education system; so much so that the Woodbrige police (4 officers) had to intervene.

Maras stated he was schocked and deeply disappointed to learn that after he left the event, Kyle Anderson, a member of the Woodbrige Town Council,  joined the protest,  in support of his friend and to express his own beliefs. Those beliefs, Maras insists, are that US immigration laws do not apply to those crossing our nation’s borders illegally. Moreover, Anderson is a self-avowed supporter of providing illegal persons with “sanctuary” status and providing these lawbreakers with rights and benefits which are afforded to US citizen and legal immagrants,  at taxpayers’ expense.

Not only does Mr. Anderson hold an At-Large seat on the Woodbrige Town Council, he recently left his job with a Phamacutical firm for a high paying political appointment to the position of Superintendent of Middlesex County Schools.

Mr. Anderson’s reported heckling display over the weekend (which was recorded) is deeply troubling.  Such conduct and opposition to the laws of our land certainly calls into question  Anderson’s fitness to hold a key role in the governence of Woodbrige Township, let alone a top positiin in the NJ Middlesex County educational system.

Maras believes our children and taxpayers deserve an educational system in which  students learn about our laws and historical traditions: how they make America great, and also make it the “land” to which so many wish to come just like our forefathers.

This was a peaceful rally; it was  not about sewing division or hate! The fact Anderson and his fellow protestors chose to interject  racism and to belittle the supporters of our Constitution and laws clearly, in Maras’ opinion, is a call for their removal from any public position of trust.

In that connection, he urges those reading this article to contact the NJ  Department of Educaiton and demand the conduct of both Mr. Anderson and the Perth Amboy teacher to be fully investigated.

Woodbridge voters should act to remove Mr. Anderson from office on Election Day, November 5th!
