Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali released the following statement:

“It is unfortunate that the DCCC is using amateur smear tactics without knowing the facts and falling flat on their face; with name calling using wrong information. The fact is that Montvale is having municipal tax DECREASE for two years in a row, and on track for more great years of flat or even more tax reduction. DCCC is Distorting Clear, Concise, & Compelling facts.

I wish the DCCC and their representatives would spend their time on policy discussion and offer solutions to the mass exodus of New Jerseyans, reducing the cost of living and addressing the concerns of the business community with high taxes and prohibitive regulations issues.

DCCC, take note, I have had 12 town hall meetings, over 20 on-site local neighborhood meetings and countless visits to residents at their homes to address their concerns over the past three years. Visited over 60 local businesses and resolved their issues within hours; it is why global businesses are coming to Montvale, infact over 100 new businesses came to Montvale over the last three years.

My tip to the DCCC is that they hire competent and experienced researchers, ones who know how to read budgets and charts before embarrassing themselves and their elected representatives.”
