“New Jersey has spoken. We voted resoundingly for the candidate who stands against the Trump administration’s MAGA agenda and its assault on our democracy, who fights for vital programs such as the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and SNAP, and who has the ability, experience, and vision to tackle the many crises facing New Jerseyans struggling to afford food, housing, health care, utilities, transportation, and education. Mikie Sherrill’s victory is a massive repudiation of the Trump administration’s destructive policies. It’s also an affirmation that voters want a leader who can address our state’s long-standing problems and work towards a New Jersey where everyone, not just the privileged few, has a voice and the opportunity to prosper.

“We offer our heartfelt congratulations to the Governor-Elect, who deserves full credit for unifying voters around her campaign and platforms. This election saw greatly increased voter turnout compared to the last gubernatorial race and overwhelmingly validates the removal of New Jersey’s county line.
