Rep. Sherrill To Hold Virtual “Monday with Mikie” on Resources for Veterans During COVID-19
Parsippany, NJ — Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) announced today a fourth virtual “Monday with Mikie” meeting focused on resources for veterans during COVID-19. Rep. Sherrill will be joined on August 24th by panelists who will update veterans on VA services during the pandemic, provide information for veteran-owned businesses, as well as highlight COVID-related resources available for mental health, substance abuse, and housing.
“Our Monday with Mikie next week will be focused on sharing resources available to veterans during the pandemic,” said Representative Sherrill. “Our office has assisted veterans throughout the public health crisis, and this virtual meeting is a way to gather stakeholders and providers we work with who serve the veteran community across North Jersey to answer questions on issues related to healthcare, the VA, and small businesses.”
Rep. Sherrill is also partnering with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Newark Regional Office, for a Telephonic Veterans Claims Clinic on August 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Veterans, Active Duty service members, Reservists, and family members with questions about VA claims, military benefits or who are interested in learning more about benefits can email NJ11Veterans@mail.house.gov to connect with our Military and Veterans Liaison.
