Virtual Job Events Planned for New Amazon Facility in Somerset County
As Amazon gets ready to open a new large facility in Franklin, Somerset County, job seekers can learn more about opportunities in the company during two upcoming virtual events.
The Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB), serving Hunterdon and Somerset counties, is working with Amazon to organize information sessions about job openings in Somerset County.
Amazon is looking to fill more than 2,000 openings at its facility, which is scheduled to open in mid-December. The virtual sessions that are planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, and 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, will focus on Amazon’s application procedure, hiring procedures, benefits and more. Depending upon the level of interest, additional sessions can be scheduled.

“These upcoming events are another way the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board is helping local residents connect with career opportunities in these challenging times,” said Paul Grzella, GRWDB director. “We are using these events as ways to learn about how we can offer additional virtual job information sessions and jobs fairs in the future.
