Bayly Winder calls on Zack Mullock to Release Personal Financial Disclosure

Mays Landing, NJ — Congressional candidate Bayly Winder is calling on Zack Mullock to release his personal financial disclosure statement as required by House Ethics laws and as all other candidates for CD2 have done.

"When you have a country club candidate that has a multi-million dollar real estate portfolio, I think that the campaign owes it to the public to submit their financial disclosure on time," said Winder. "Everyone else in this race made it a priority. Because we recognize the desperate need to restore public trust in our democracy. I urge Zack to make his disclosure public immediately."

Questions about Zack’s finances have been a topic of conversation in the 2nd Congressional District. Upon entering this race, Zack Mullock announced that he had raised $200,000, saying that his campaign is, “powered by South Jersey families who are ready for new leadership…”. However, his FEC filing showed that much of that cash was actually from an $110,000 loan from his personal finances.

“If you are going to loan your campaign $110,000, more than the annual household income in this district, it’s doubly important that you submit your personal financial disclosure. Otherwise, who knows where that money really came from,” says Winder’s campaign manager, Andrew Sklansky. “Zack said his campaign was powered by South Jersey families, but the evidence points otherwise.”

Filers who qualify as a candidate generally must file their personal financial disclosures within 30 days of becoming a candidate or by May 15 of the year in which they qualify, whichever is later. However, a qualifying candidate must file a personal financial disclosure at least 30 days before any election (including primary elections) in which they are participating. Given that the Primary is now only 26 days from today's date, that would mean that Mullock’s campaign is in violation of this rule. Filings can be accessed on the site for the Office of the Clerk, U.S. House of Representatives at the following link: https://disclosures-clerk.house.gov/FinancialDisclosure
