Christine Tiseo Launches Campaign for Mayor of Woodland Park

WOODLAND PARK, NJ — On Thursday evening, April 23, former Woodland Park Councilwoman Christine Tiseo officially launched her campaign for mayor. More than 130 Team Woodland Park supporters gathered at Bask46, where Tiseo outlined her focus on public safety, stabilizing taxes, enhanced parks and recreation, and support for veterans.
Tiseo, an Army veteran, previously served on the Woodland Park Borough Council and as President of the Board of Education. A dedicated community volunteer, she has led the Stigma-Free Task Force, advocating for mental health awareness, and has been actively involved with the Home and School Association. She is also a member of American Legion Post 238 and serves on the Alfred H. Baumann Library Board of Trustees.
In her remarks, Tiseo emphasized the importance of community engagement and inclusivity, highlighting the need to celebrate and support the town’s seniors, youth, and diverse population.
“I want to get everyone involved,” Tiseo said. “Everyone will have a seat at the table in my administration and play a role in shaping our town’s future. Together, we can build a stronger sense of community and encourage meaningful participation.”
“Christine has served our country, our schools, and our borough,” said Pat Lepore, a former Woodland Park Mayor and Passaic County Commissioner. “She is uniquely qualified to be mayor and will lead with the same passion and commitment she has demonstrated throughout her career.”
Tiseo’s campaign centers on leadership driven by empathy, experience, and a deep commitment to public service - pillars that Team Woodland Park represents.
"Councilwoman Tiseo cares about Woodland Park and she has the leadership experience to move Woodland Park forward," observed Council President Luis Torres.
Tiseo was unanimously selected by the Woodland Park Democratic Committee members to be the Democratic nominee in the primary election to be held on Tuesday, June 2, followed by the general election on Tuesday, November 3.
