MIDDLESEX COUNTY DEMOCRATS WIN EVERY CONTESTED
ELECTION ON THE BALLOT
EDISON, NJ — Middlesex County Democrats won every contested election on Tuesday's ballot, sweeping local races in South Amboy, Sayreville, Milltown, Middlesex Borough and South River and returning the full Democratic county ticket to office. From city hall to borough council, voters in every town with a contested race chose Democratic leadership, and Senator Cory Booker carried the county by 35 points.
"Every contested race, in every town, went to a Democrat," said Middlesex County Chairman Kevin P. McCabe. "Voters told us they want local government that is affordable, safe and responsive, and that is exactly what our mayors and council members will deliver."
The Middlesex County Democratic Organization applauds the local victories across the County, including:
Election of Daniel J. Reiman (Carteret, Mayor) and Susan R. Naples and Randy Krum (Carteret, Borough Council)
Election of Thomas Szczur Jr. (Cranbury, Township Committee)

"Our local campaigns reflect the heart of this organization: neighbors talking to neighbors, communities coming together, and a shared belief that progress happens when we show up for one another," said Chairman Kevin P. McCabe. "These candidates earned every vote by knocking on doors and listening to their neighbors, and our volunteers made sure no voter was left out."
The entire Middlesex County Democratic Team, U.S. Senator Cory Booker, Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. (6th Congressional District), Congressman-elect Adam Hamawy (12th Congressional District), County Commissioners Charlie Tomaro and Leslie Koppel, and Surrogate Claribel Cortes, also secured victory, continuing the County's legacy of strong, fiscally responsible governance.
"Though this is a good night and a big win, we cannot forget what brought us to this point. The horrific policies of the Trump administration put the wealthy and well connected ahead of middle class families and they were roundly rejected. Now we have to do the work to reverse those policies, starting right here at home," said Chairman Kevin P. McCabe.
"We look forward to working with our newly elected local leaders to keep delivering a high quality of life for Middlesex County residents," added Chairman Kevin P. McCabe.
