UTCA STATEMENT ON PORT AUTHORITY’S 10-YEAR, $45 BILLION INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN

WALL –Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA) Executive Director Dave Rible issued the following statement today on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Board of Commissioners approving a record 10-year, $45 billion infrastructure plan:
“When we talk about making smart investments in our future, this is exactly what we mean. The Port Authority’s plan includes funding for numerous critical transportation projects. Among them are the Gateway Program, Midtown Bus Terminal Replacement and upgrades at Newark Liberty and John F. Kennedy airports, just to name a few. This is a remarkable achievement, spearheaded under the leadership of Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole. UTCA commends him and the commissioners for their dedication to the region. These kinds of investments will benefit thousands of workers and millions of commuters for years to come.”
