The Teamsters Joint Council 53 endorsed Mikie Sherrill to be the next Governor of New Jersey because of what they cited as "her long record of fighting for New Jersey families, protecting collective bargaining rights, and standing up for workers."

“I am honored to have the support of the Teamsters Joint Council 53 as we fight to make New Jersey more affordable for hardworking families. New Jersey was built by our workers, but it’s unacceptable that our state has become unaffordable for the people who keep it running every day. That’s why I am laser-focused on lowering costs and fighting to build a more affordable Garden State. I will take on anyone — from special interests and Trump to my own party — to lower costs for New Jerseyans,” said Sherrill.
