Alston’s Hudson County Chronicles: Chiaravalloti Imperiled

From Bruce Alston’s Hudson County Chronicles:

Mayor Davis gives Nick the Political Boot from the County line.

Reliable Sources within Bayonne elected leadership have confirmed New Jersey State Assemblyman Nicholas Chivalrotti (sic) is being replaced on the Hudson County Democratic Line.

Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis’s relationship with the Assemblyman has deteriorated beyond reconciliation according to HCDO Leaders.

Last year Chivalrotti (sic) became the Majority Whip in the State Assembly, many felt he was in position to possibly become the next Assembly Speaker.

The Assemblyman has always been viewed as part of United States Senator Bob Menendez’s political team.

One can reasonably assume Mayor Davis consulted with Sen. Menendez before deciding to toss one of the Senator’s allies from the County Line.

What’s next for Chivalrotti (sic)? Would he possibly challenge Davis for Mayor in 2022 ?

Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker thanks Gov. Phil Murphy for working with the NJ legislature on the dark money disclosure bill.

Dem Deal Done for Zwicker in LD16

Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker (D-16) will receive the Somerset line for state senate on a Democratic ticket with incumbent Assemblyman Roy Freiman (D-16) and former Montgomery Mayor Sadaf Jaffer.

Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi (R-39).

Schepisi Scores a Win in Passaic

The Passaic County GOP this morning issued its support for Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi for senate in LD39.

Today, prior to the announcement of the ad news about Senator Cardinale’s death, Schepisi overwhelmingly got the line for 39th District senate in Passaic. Incumbent Assemblyman Bob Auth and Saddle River Councilman Dr. John Azzariti got the assembly nod.

Hurley: Polistina in the LD2 Senate Race

From Harry Hurley: Former State Senator Sonny McCullough has also predicted that Polistina will defeat Guardian for The Republican Nomination.

The Republican County Committee Members have the ultimate say. Properly respecting and courting them is imperative to be successful.

We also broke the news first last night that former Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian has switched his bid from the New Jersey General Assembly to the Senate.

Hahn

Hahn Running for Edison Mayor as a Republican

Keith Hahn is running as a Republican in the Edison mayor’s race.

The former local Democratic Party chairman had originally contemplated running as an independent.

But sitting Mayor Tom Lankey has already occupied that slot.

So as multiple Democratic candidates seek the nomination of their party, Hahn – once their party leader – will be awaiting one of them in the general election.

So will Lankey, in the independent column – at least for now.
