2023 Hoboken City Council Debate Announced

 

HOBOKEN, NJ – Hoboken voters are being invited to attend, or watch live online, a pre-election debate featuring all of the 14 candidates running for Hoboken City Council in this year’s election. This year the seats representing all six wards are up for election. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7.

Hosted by The Pulse with Peter B. and TAPinto Hoboken, the Hoboken City Council Ward Election Debate will take place at the Demarest School Auditorium, 158 4th Street, on Tuesday, October 17.

Candidates from Wards 1, 2, and 4 will debate from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. while candidates from Wards 3, 5, and 6 will debate from 8:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Voters and residents are invited to watch the debate live and in person. It will also be streamed live on Facebook by TAPinto Hoboken.

Following an introduction by Steve Lenox, Publisher, TAPinto Hoboken, debate moderators Peter Biancamano, Host/Executive Producer, The Pulse with Peter B and Joshua Sotomayor Einstein, Resident Political Analyst, will ask the candidates a series of questions on topics including public safety, quality of life, and cost of living.

Candidates will be given 2 minutes for introductory/closing statements, 1 minute 30 seconds to answer questions, and 30 seconds for optional rebuttals. A 30-minute highlight reel of the debate will be featured on the following weekend’s TV episode of “The Pulse with Peter B.”

The debate is sponsored by The Mile Square Taxpayers Association, Alessio’s, The Shepherd & The Knucklehead Bar and Restaurant, Fran & Augusta Przygoda, & T.J. Fiorillo of the Prime Real Estate Group.
