FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Plainfield, NJ – Candidates for the New Jersey Legislature in the 22nd Legislative District, William Michelson, Lisa Fabrizio and Patricia Quattrocchi, released the following statements announcing their campaign.

William Michelson, the Plainfield GOP municipal chairperson and 2021 nominee for State Senate, will challenge Senate President Nicholas Scutari once again. He is an attorney and an urban planner, and longtime Chairman of the Plainfield Historic Preservation Commission.

“I thank the Union County GOP for the support I received at its nominating convention this week, and look forward to building upon 2021’s historic Republican legislative gains. I entered this race because I saw a lack of political leadership and economic opportunity in this district, and a refusal of the Democrat-controlled Legislature to make urgent reforms in crucial fields such as school choice and tax reform. I believe I can do better. As Senate President, Scutari has failed to improve upon the lives of his constituents, and only used his position to benefit his donors and political allies, at the expense of his constituents. He never votes no on any bill placed before him, whether good or bad,” stated Michelson.

Lisa Fabrizio, the Linden GOP municipal chairperson, and Patricia Quattrocchi, of Clark, a former councilwoman and mayor in nearby Garwood, will be the candidates for State Assembly in the 22nd District. The district has been somewhat redrawn in last year’s redistricting, but still includes 8 of the same towns as before.

“I am privileged to accept this nomination, and look forward to meeting constituents across the district, to discuss their needs and concerns. It is time for the 22nd Legislative District to have representatives who value improving their constituents’ quality of life, and lowering taxes so that New Jersey becomes more affordable,” stated Fabrizio, a social worker.

“I would like to echo Bill and Lisa in thanking the Union County GOP for selecting me to be their candidate for State Assembly. James Kennedy and Linda Carter, the incumbent Democratic Assembly members from district 22, continue to vote the party line and do nothing in Trenton to change anything or help their constituents. As your Assemblywoman, I will always put the needs of the people of this district above my personal and political considerations”, stated Quattrocchi, an employment counselor.
