BREAKING: Sue Altman Releases First Campaign Ad “Fight”
Princeton, NJ – Sue Altman, former State Director for Senator Andy Kim, former Executive Director for the New Jersey Working Families Party, and Democratic candidate for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District, released her first campaign ad in the Democratic primary to replace retiring Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman.
The ad highlights Sue’s decade-long career fighting Republicans and power political insiders and endorsement from the New Jersey Working Families Party. Whether it was having a mic thrown at her by Governor Chris Christie when she stood up to protect teachers and New Jersey’s public schools, being dragged out of a hearing in Trenton by corrupt party bosses after exposing a $1 billion tax break for crooked insurance companies and corporate donors, or serving on the frontlines against the Trump’s administration's chaos and cruelty as Senator Andy Kim’s State Director, Sue has never backed down from tough fights on half of working people.
Sue released the following statement to accompany the release of her first campaign ad:
“After the past year serving as Senator Andy Kim’s State Director, I knew I had to do more to stop Trump and end the rampant corruption and corporate greed in Washington. Billionaires are buying access to the most corrupt administration in American history, while working people struggle to make ends meet and masked men terrorize immigrants and execute American citizens in the streets.
We need to beat Trump – with a fierce urgency – but we cannot rely on the same D.C. playbook that got us here to save us from this mess and go back to the status quo. We have to rebuild our party, our government, and our country with a vision that both unifies and proves our government can, in fact, deliver for working people – and that’s why I’m running for Congress.
We must pass Medicare for All and ensure everyone has the healthcare they need, abolish ICE and hold this administration accountable for their crimes, and stop Trump and his billionaire cronies from rigging our economy and raising costs for working people.”
