MONTGOMERY - Former Assemblywoman Sadaf Jaffer, a former mayor of Montgomery, backs Dr. Adam Hamawy in the CD-12 Democratic Primary.

"We've been very lucky to have a congresswoman who stands by her morals and is absolutely a voice for those who are disenfranchised, economically disempowered, for those who need a political voice, and for those who are facing war and genocide abroad," said Jaffer, referring to retiring U.S. Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman.

As her successor, "I can't think of a better choice than Dr. Adam Hamawy. He's a healer and in this very difficult time, that's what people are looking for."

There's something else about him, said the former assemblywoman.

He has moral consistency, she said.
