Former Governor Jim Florio came to Trenton today to testify in favor of those controversial tax incentive programs implemented by the state Economic Development Authority (EDA).

“In a word, the impact on Camden of this series of programs has been astounding,” Florio told the joint legislative committee.

“If you go there you will see the new businesses, developed in part with this program,” the governor added. “Very impressive.

“Just because a program can be improved, doesn’t mean it’s a failure,” Florio said.
